As most of the glorious yellow daffodils have already gone over, I was looking for something else in yellow to share with you. I hope you won't be disappointed that I am sharing a little silk love today: Amours, an Annie Faivre design from 1999.
Nomen est omen - this scarf is all about love. And there is a lot that draws me to this scarf, for a start it features flowers.
And not just a few flowers dotted around the outer border but a giant daisy right in the centre.
Rightly associated with the title of the scarf there is mistletoe which is of course not just meaningful for druids. And of course "Je t'aime", "un peu", "beaucoup", "passionnément"!
Another endearing feature is the material of the scarf, silk twill in the jacquard weave. You can make this out in the previous photos, but this close up shows the bees particularly well.
There may not be any "Osterglocken" but these charming bells, complete with putti embellish the corners.
This scarf is lovely flat but it is equally gorgeous tied.
Sunshine yellow may not be everybody's cup of tea but with its accent colours of green/brown it works with my hair and some of my favourite dresses. It also sports a fair amount of white, so I think this would look perfect worn as a halter with white jeans for a summer look.
Last but not least paired with the "Bolide jaune". Apologies for the shadows, the picture was taken at the end of the day with the sun behind me.
I'm converted to yellow and can't get enough of it !Your Amours is truly beautiful ,and the yellow is such a golden colour it gleams with the white jacquard .
ReplyDeleteNo sooner do I see a lovely scarf like this than I want to add it to my collection .
Thanks for sharing my love for yellow, Estrella!
