The Hunt for Red October

or better the hunt for golden October continued with a perfect walk in Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire.

The current mild weather surely has nature confused and the first flower that greeted me was this tiny bellflower (?)

Barely time to take photographs, as I was busy chasing after the Little Gardener who enjoyed all the open space, the sheep, the lake, the grotto, the bridges, the picnic (silly Mummy had left the crisps in the car).

As the title of the post says, there was not much red foliage to admire but the golden hues coupled with such mild weather very much made for a perfect day.

I particularly liked the enormous chestnut tree, but really this is the perfect place to ramble, cycle and pic-nic.
