The old cherry tree

There is an old cherry tree on the tiny plot of land behind the house. Despite the windy weather at the start of the month, there is still plenty of golden foliage, reminding me more of "Golden October" than mid November.

 

On a clear morning, the colours around us are just stunning and the woody hills which lie across the valley seem to be in easy reach.

Just a few yards away from the house are vineyards and the village is surrounded on two sides by row  upon row of vines, growing white as well as red varieties.
