The last few weeks have been a flurry of activity across all my gardens including my own.
I am a gardener and garden designer working in Central England since 2008. I specialise in the sympathetic renovation and restoration of gardens. Follow me as I chart progress in various gardens. One of my hobbies includes Hermès silks, so expect my blog to be interspersed with the odd scarf or three. For me wearing a piece of silk art is the perfect antidote to a day's hard graft.

A throwback to the 70's - Manège
After the sartorial extravaganza of TF paired with zebra print, I indulged in a bit of 70's nostalgia tonight. Yes, the 1974 Philippe Ledoux design of Manège.
I don't think it has been re-issued, so I think this is an original issue and the coloiurs so typical of the 70's would support my assumption.
All nice and simple, calm and collected. The cable knit sweater in a brown melange is a neutral base and the weave knot fits perfectly in this very neutral and unchallenging look. No need for jewellery really as there is hardware in gold neatly positioned in the corners.

Mixing patterns & styles: Tendresse Féline
Sometimes it is lovely to get finished early enough at work and change into something a bit smarter for the school run. It is just cool enough to warrant a jacket to wear with my beloved Tendresse Féline.

Intense colour and a case of mistaken identity
As we are moving into October, daylight and sunshine are becoming rarer here. It is with particular delight that I am now seeking out very bright colours to lift the spirit.
Stargazer lilies (?) are normally long finished by now. Forgive the alliteration but the bulbs for these beauties were found in a B & Q bargain bin for something like 25p a pack. The label was missing so I am not sure of the exact variety.
